MACS: the app at the door

One app for every entrance. Door staff sign in, pick the session and scan the EAN-13 or the QR on the ticket, on paper or on a screen. It takes tickets of any organizer who sells through ArenaSoldOut.com and partners' tickets from other systems, so a venue uses the same phones for every event.

Questions

What does the scanner do?

Which tickets does it scan?
Every ticket issued by ArenaSoldOut.com: the PDF with the EAN-13 barcode and the QR code, printed or shown on a screen, and the e-mail with the ticket. Tickets sold by your partners in other systems are accepted next to them, so one door works for every sales channel.
Can one app serve several organizers?
Yes. MACS scans tickets of any organizer on the platform. Door staff of a venue or a festival switch between events and sessions in the app; each organizer sees the scans of their own events in the Event Center.
What does the staff see on a scan?
Whether the ticket is valid, with the seat or the category, or why it is not (already used, cancelled, another session). The organizer sees the admitted count per session in the Event Center.
Do I need the ArenaSoldOut.com ticketing to use the scanner?
Today MACS is included for organizers who sell through ArenaSoldOut.com, and it accepts partners' tickets from other systems next to ArenaSoldOut.com tickets. Scanning only, for tickets sold elsewhere, is offered on request: write to us with your ticket system and the event.
How many phones can scan at once?
As many as you have entrances. Scans are recorded centrally, so a ticket admitted at one gate is not admitted again at another.
What does it cost?
Nothing on top of the per-ticket price for organizers on the platform. Terms for scanning-only use are agreed per event; see the pricing page for the platform terms.
